Our approach

Three principles guide every decision.

We are not in a hurry. Without outside investors or a fund clock, we can hold good assets for as long as they stay good.

I

A long horizon

We measure outcomes in decades, not quarters. Compounding and patience do most of the work; our job is to avoid permanent losses along the way.

II

Invest where we understand

We favour sectors where we have real knowledge, healthcare and medicine above all, and we are comfortable saying no to everything else.

III

Our own capital

Woodview invests only family capital. We do not manage money for others or solicit investment, which keeps our interests simple and aligned.

The office

One office for the family's capital, companies and affairs.

Investments

A long-term portfolio of public securities and selective private holdings, managed with independent custodians and advisors.

Operating businesses

We incubate and own companies built on the family's professional expertise, beginning with Woodview Clinical, our medicine-only advisory.

Family stewardship

Governance, tax and estate coordination with outside professionals, education planning for the next generation, and considered philanthropy.

Clinical judgment for the decisions that shape care.

Woodview Clinical is an independent advisory led by practising specialists. We help life-sciences teams, health systems and educators understand the evidence, the patients and the realities of everyday practice.

Two practices

Strategy and Education, under one roof.

Think of us as a consultancy that only does medicine. The people advising you see patients every week, so the advice holds up in clinic.

01 · Strategy

Medical strategy, grounded in practice.

For medical affairs, market access and clinical development teams who need a clear view of how a therapy will actually be used.

Advisory boards

Design, chairing and moderation, with a written synthesis of what the room concluded and where it disagreed.

Evidence and positioning

Landscape reviews and sequencing analyses: where a therapy fits, which patients it is for, and what the data does and does not support.

Congress intelligence

Clinician-led debriefs from ASH, EHA, ASCO, IMS and ISTH: what changed, what matters for Canadian practice, and what to watch.

Trial and study input

Protocol feasibility from a site investigator's view, real-world evidence questions and investigator-initiated study design.

02 · Education

Teaching that changes practice.

Programs built by clinicians who teach, for physicians, care teams and the people who support them.

Accredited programs

Needs-assessed continuing education for community hematologists and oncologists, developed to accreditation standards.

Congress reviews and talks

Practical post-congress updates that translate new trials into decisions a clinician can make on Monday morning.

Medical team training

Disease-area and clinical-context training for medical science liaisons and field medical teams.

Clinical tools and curricula

Reference guides, referral pathways and teaching materials for health systems building hematology services.

Focus areas

Deep in hematology, by design.

Multiple myeloma Plasma cell disorders, transplant, relapsed disease sequencing
CLL and lymphoma Targeted therapy, fixed-duration regimens, DLBCL
Cellular and bispecific therapy CAR-T, T-cell engagers, delivery outside academic centres
MDS and MPN Myelofibrosis, myelodysplastic syndromes, CML
Thrombosis Cancer-associated thrombosis, VTE risk and prophylaxis
Benign hematology Supportive care, immunoglobulin replacement, transfusion
How we work

Every engagement ends in something you can use.

1

Scope

A short call to define the question, the audience and the decision it should inform.

2

Design

The right format and the right clinicians, whether a board, a review, a program or a workshop.

3

Deliver

Led personally by specialists, with the evidence prepared in advance.

4

Synthesize

A written report with the findings, the disagreements and the recommended next steps.

Founder

Dr. Anthony Naassan

HBSc, MSc, MD, FRCPC

Anthony is Division Head and a staff hematologist/oncologist at a large Ontario community hospital and regional cancer centre, where he practises malignant and benign hematology with a focus on multiple myeloma and plasma cell disorders.

He is an Associate Professor of Oncology at Queen's University and a Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Toronto, and leads an active clinical research program spanning industry trials and investigator-initiated studies in thrombosis, transplant outcomes and myeloma care.

He regularly chairs advisory boards and speaks to community hematologists across Ontario, and founded Woodview Clinical to bring that work together in one place.

Integrity

Independent advice is only useful if it is honest.

We say what the data shows. Our conclusions follow the evidence, including when it is inconvenient.

Everything is disclosed. Engagements follow institutional conflict-of-interest policies and the Innovative Medicines Canada Code of Ethical Practice.

Advice, not promotion. Strategy and education work is kept separate from promotional speaking.
